i would not suggest the color black it looks like you have junk up in your teeth. Ive had braces for 1 year & minedidn’tt hurt at all. hope i helped i know im a bit late but just for future knowledge a chain hurts only for the first couple days.

it took mine about 2 hours to get on, but thats because they took impressions. For pain, the braces will constantly be moving your teeth the duration of the time you have braces on, but when you first get them on, in about a few hours the teeth will begin their big move, which will last for about 3-7 days. The pain will, unfortunately, be very bad & you will not be able to eat hard foods that make you crunch or chew. I survived on Top Ramen noodles, but you have to make them extra soft when you boil them. Also, every time you get your braces tightened or your wires changed, (it depends if you’re getting metal braces or Damon braces) you will feel a little pain because their pulling your teeth into place. I have Damon braces, so my wires just get changed & I don’t have to get them tightened. Although when you get your wires changed, you usually get a thicker wire, & it’ll hurt a little bit less or more each time.
As for colors, I don’t have any because Damon braces dont need them to operate, but my sister had them when she had regular braces. Don’t get white because they make your teeth look yellow, & yellow because they also make them look yellow. The best choice would most likely be silver because it makes your teeth look nice & white. If you do decide to go with Damon braces, they do work faster & you don’t have to go through picking out the right colors.

I have braces & it took about an hour for them to put them on. It depends on how they’re going to do it. They were only going to put the top on & do the bottoms at another time but they put them both on at the same time & at first, it wasn’t painful at all. Getting them put on was really boring. Once I got home though, they started hurting BAD. I’m not gunna lie, it does hurt when they change them every month. But they most likely won’t put bands on your teeth right away. But when they do, get colors that look good on your skin tone. Like, red, blue, green, purple, pretty much anything.
