I am in my early twenties & was wondering if it is still possible to have braces. Do you have any experiences of having braces at a similar age, & does correction take a long time/does it hurt etc.?
There are people that are older than you that have had, & may still have braces.
They drill metal in your gum, so sadly it’s not just children who will be in pain.
I imagine there are more complications as wisdom teeth are very different.
i dnt think that your age really matters its just that orthodontists like to wait until all your baby teetha are out & grown in so that you don’t have any teeth still growing or anything & if ones loose i guess it just hangs there, hope i helped
I know that it takes longer as you get older, but I know many people who are at least in their thirties with braces. Many of the assistants at my orthdontists office have them, & so do a few of my friends parents. It’s not too late. Braces don’t really cause pain, they just make your mouth sore for about a week or so after you get them, & then for a day or so aftey they’re tightened. Advil & a soft diet would work great.
