A lot of my friends said when they got braces, it didn’t hurt that much, but I just got ‘em yesterday, & the damn things hurt like hell for some reason, anything I can do to make it go away?

Which is better: A manual ordinary toothbrush or an electric toothbrush?

I need to loosen brackets from my braces so I can remove them myself. I know you all of you are going to say NO, don’t do it. Let your ortho do it for you. No! I will not. It’s easier to do it myself. I know the risk & I am willing. I’m going to get them on again in a few months after I get a new contract. Other than that how do I loosen my brackets without hurting my teeth. Should I use soda or something.

My teeth aren’t yellow or anything, but they’re not pearly whites. I really want to have super white teeth but I have braces, so I can’t get whitening or use Crest Whitestrips or anything. I brush atleast twice a day, usually three or four times though. I use mouthwash, & floss. But my teeth still aren’t really white. Any advice to make them whiter?

I am 20 years old & I need braces. I don’t make very much money & I don’t have insurance so I wanted to try & find a good dental insurance plan so I don’t have to pay a lot for braces. Anyone have any good insurance plans they know of for college students that need braces? Any help would be great, thanks.

Last week I had 3 extractions, I could hardly chew on anything! Just when i thought i could start eating normally, i had spaces fit in today which is hurting my teeth even more. Next week Im getting braces & I’ve heard it will be very difficult to eat.
When can i start eating normally? I am sick of eating all these soft food like mash & soup! This week, i’ve realised I’ve lost a few pounds too.
